Statement by International Memorial"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The lengthy court case against Yuri Dmitriev was ended today, 22 July 2020, with a\u00a0guilty verdict on\u00a0some of\u00a0the charges and a\u00a0sentence of\u00a03 years and 6 months imprisonment.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the obvious leniency of\u00a0the sentence compared with 15 years\u2019 detention requested by\u00a0the prosecutors, the verdict is\u00a0legally unsound.<\/p>\n<p>The total lack of\u00a0grounds for the charges against Dmitriev was clear from the start.
